February 2, 2001 – TRI COUNTY NORTH
The Buccs improved to 12-4 on the season with a dominating 80-46 victory over Tri County North tonight. North was outgunned from the beginning as Bert Roeth and company dominated the boards and the scoreboard. Covington brought down 42 rebounds on the night which led to many second and third shot opportunities for the Buccs.

The Buccs got off a fast start by taking a 12-point lead right off of the bat, 20-8. They stretched the lead to 17 at halftime, 35-18.

As it has been the past few games, the Buccs got stronger and more relentless as the game progressed. The Buccs continued to increase their lead in the third as they went ahead 52-33 heading into the fourth. A 28-point burst in the fourth period closed the show on the Panthers and the Buccs to home a 80-46 win.

Bert Roeth led the Buccs with 19 points while Jarod and Jason Meyer chipped in 15 and 12 a piece. Jarod Meyer also grabbed 8 rebounds while Jason Meyer and Josh Burelison ahd 7 assists each. The Buccs shot 58 percent from the field on the night while holding North to 2 out of 21 from three-point range.

Tomorrow night the Buccs face Newton in a rematch from their previous battle earlier in the year that the Buccs won 50-41.
