February 10, 2001 – VERSAILLES
Playing the game with Josh Burelison on their minds, the Buccs squeaked by an always tough, Versailles Tigers team on the road. Burelison was injured in last night's game with Ansonia and is currently in the hospital recovering from a severe concussion suffered during the game.

The game was close throughout as neither team could get the upper hand. The Buccs held a slim 2-point margin after the first period. Versailles squeezed ahead in the second period and took a 2-point lead into halftime, 30-28.

The difference in the game was the third period. The Buccs outscored the Tigers 14-4 to take an 8-point lead and the momentum into the fourth.

Each team played the other evenly in the fourth as both teams score 17 fourth quarter points. The Buccs did just enough down the stretch to maintain their 8-point margin and come away with a 59-51 win.

The victory improves the Buccs to 15-4 and sixth game in a row.

The Buccs have also won 12 out of their last 13 and are primed for a run in the state tournament coming up in a few weeks.

The Buccs close out the regular season against Dayton Christian on the road February 17.
