When Heather Fields and Michelle Meyer are on, the Covington Lady Buccs are tough to beat. Fields and Meyer were on their game today, but Jackson Center was within striking distance of pulling off an upset until late free throws led to a 49-43 Covington win.

The win gives the Lady Buccs an 17-2 record with one game to play in the regular season. Covington finishes out the season in a makup game on the road againt National Trail on Monday, February 16.

Fields and Meyer combined for 37 of Covington's 49 points. Fields led the way with a game-high 22 points, while Meyer contributed with 15 points.

The Covington Lady Buccs reserve squad also captured a win by defeating Jackson Center 42-20.
